Shadow Banned – What To Do Next

If you have been shadow banned on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram, then you should consider backing up your video content before your account is permanently disabled or deleted and all your content is lost for good.

Definition of Shadow Banned

If your TikTok, Facebook or Instagram accounts have been Shadowbanned, this is where your views to your videos have been throttled (as is done by TikTok – the number of views remains 0 (zero) while the video is reviewed or the total number of views never get higher than 250) or you lose access to key functionality within social media platforms preventing you from posting, commenting on posts, interacting in your group or business page, or receiving a 30-day access ban to the platform.

If this has happened to your account, then consider it a warning from the social media platform that they are not happy with your latest content (duh!) and you are possibly days, if not weeks, away from having your account permanently shut down.

The question then is, what happens to all your good content?

Today I am going to show you how to save your videos before you lose access to your account completely.

This is going to speed up your recovery time when creating your next account, and it's going to save you days if not weeks of time and effort trying to recreate your following.

I will demonstrate how to take a copy of the good videos from a shadow band account and back them up to a Google Drive or Dropbox account.

This article will demonstrate how to do this to a Google Drive

This is an optional step, you can head directly to Step 4b to configure the process to run automatically if you wish.

Either select Only Content Published On This Date Or Newer

Or

How To Republish Saved Content To Social Media Platforms

STEP 1: At Least 2 Connections Are Required

1. A connection to Google Drive containing the video content

2. A connection to the preferred social media platform(s) you wish to upload video content to

STEP 2: Create the Workflow

Name the Workflow

Suggested Naming Convention: “Source” - “Folder Name” to “Destination”

Select NEXT

Select Source Type (Platform)

Select Media Type: Video

Select Source Connection (A Connection created in Step 2)

Select NEXT

Select an Action: Upload the Full Video (From the Source Connection to the Destination Connection)

Select Destination Connection: TikTok

Select DONE

This Workflow has now been created

STEP 3: Publishing the Workflow

As was done in the Backup process, you can either manually or automatically publish the videos in the Google Drive Folder to TikTok (or any social media platform).

I would suggest a manual process to regulate the upload of content to the social media platform.

If you set this to auto, you would be uploading a mass of content that would surely trigger an alert on the social media platform that could land the new account in hot water.

What I've shown you today is obviously an emergency kind of procedure to back up your content before you lose access to your account.

If you're using repurpose.io for its full functionality, that is where you can take your video content from your Source (whether that be TikTok, Instagram or Facebook) and distribute that through to YouTube shorts, Pinterest, LinkedIn.

You can even create podcasts from video content

Repurpose.io is the perfect tool to increase the number of views you get from a single piece of content.

Social media platforms are fickle and can suspend, ban or delete your account for no apparent reason.

Be sure to capture your audience’s email address as part of your business system or process.

Final Thoughts

Review the community guidelines - find out what you're doing wrong and stop doing it.

Don't re-upload any of the possible culprits that are causing your account to be Shadowbanned, or else your new account is likely to face the same outcome.
